Luke Smith is Westview Plumbing Service’s engineer. Luke has achieved the majority of his technical training and all of his qualifications at The Plumbing Academy.
Since 2005, The Plumbing Academy has successfully delivered City & Guilds-accredited training courses, as well as ACS Gas and NVQ assessments, to people from various areas across London, Kent, Surrey, Sussex, and many other areas throughout the South East region of England.
With purpose built workshops, our training courses are preparing the Plumbers and Gas Engineers for the country’s demands, not just for now but for long into the future.
Gas Safe Register is the official gas registration body for the United Kingdom, appointed by the relevant Health and Safety Authority for each area. By law all gas engineers must be on the Gas Safe Register.
Gas Safe Register replaced CORGI as the gas registration body in Great Britain on 1 April 2009.
Westview Plumbing Services is enrolled on the Gas Safe Register of gas engineers. Luke is qualified in‘Core Domestic Gas Safety’ – NG (CCN1), and’Combustion Performance Analysis’ (CPA1), and‘Central Heating Boilers & Water Heaters’ (CENWAT).
OFTEC’s competent person scheme is a register of installers of oil, solid fuel and renewable heating equipment. To become OFTEC registered, all technicians must undertake an approved training course and assessment. They are also inspected regularly by OFTEC to ensure their work meets the required standard.
Luke is qualified in level 2 & 3 in Plumbing Studies, plus Level 3 in Energy Efficiency in Domestic Heating.
Luke is qualified in level 2 in general Plumbing.
